Agros. In the background (middle/left) is the Madari ranges (1600 m) the second highest in Cyprus.
In the background (North-West of Agros) is the Troodos peak (2000 m) – the highest peak in Cyprus.
The mountaintop on the North-East that surrounds Agros is called “Pinakas”. The vegetation at highest peak is “latzia” bushland, Quercus alnifolia.
The North-West mountaintop – called “fterigi”.
The mountaintop ranges in the south at a much lower elevation. Behind them is Limassol, a coastal city, the second largest in Cyprus – 40 Km from Agros. The building in the middle is RODON – a modern hotel.
The South-East mountaintop at 1550 m is “Papoutsa” meaning large shoo. Note: the vegetation is predominately “latzia” bushland, Quercus alnifolia
